Most people hate the rain, but I love it. Rain always gives me ‘permission’ to hang home and knit. I love to sit at home and listen to the rain while I throw on a good movie and knit all day. This stitch pattern reminds me of cascading drops, pooling together in puddles on the ground. Using the intarsia method to separate bands of color in contrasting stitch patterns adds interest and additional texture to a cozy sweater—perfect for that rainy day.

PATTERN NOTES
• To work the intarsia technique, be sure to pick each new yarn up from underneath the other one to close the gap and secure the yarn between colorblocks.
• For the Back and Front of the sweater, the Set-Up row begins with row 1 of each chart. From that point forward the charts are worked in sequence.
• As you increase/decrease or cast on sts in the sweater, make sure to remain in pattern. I have found the best way to do this is to identify a place in the sweater where you may easily see the pattern and count backwards from there to the beginning of the row. An acrylic ruler may also help in making sure sts are aligned in pattern vertically from one row to the next.
